I sadly had to revert back to IE7 since IE8 just wouldn't start up (it would open then quickly crash)and I needed IE to use the MCP website as it dosen't support firefox or CHrome. I tried reseting all the browser settings and disabling all add-ins. I had a similar problem on my home laptop when upgrading from IE6 to IE7 and that was caused by mcafee virus protector screwing things up.... I wonder if this is a similar problem.
