Should we stop using AJAX? That's what brothercake at Dev.Opera is saying. Reading his article I can see his points and I agree with most of them, barring people from your web experience isn't a great idea. However should it not be the job of screen readers and browser developers to sort accessibility and not the job of website developers.
I agree with him on all his points, but Ajax is popular amongst users; it's not just a silly fashion trend as the author implies. It's often the reason one user will use your application over another application. I'd say that Facebooks biggest benefit over Myspace (until recently) was the partial page updates and the lack of post back. It adds a great deal of value to a website, not to mention the reduction in bandwidth and server load. I certainly won't be moving away from AJAX... how about you?
