A weird mistake in a ASP.net 3.5 Wrox book

I was reading the latest ASP.net 3.5 book from Wrox and it had this rather obscure, totally out of context quote. Can anyone shed any light on this?

The quote itself looks to be from Clemens Hintze, rather than matz to who it is attributed, where they had overwritten a ruby method with their own
